“I’m a tographer!”
I was taking some pictures of the kids the other day, and whenever I get the camera out, Jaxon follows me around begging me to let him take pictures. So, this day I kept telling him no, and I was just going to take some pictures. Well, he got mad and yelled, “I’m a tographer!” It was so funny, I had to let him take the camera. I guess he is going to be a photographer like his dad.
These are the pictures he took. My favorite is the one of the sky (the blue picture).
Peoa, Utah
We went to Peoa this weekend. For those of you who don’t know where Peoa is, it is by Kamas and Park City. This is where my dad grew up. My dad and his brothers and sister own about 600 acres of land here. It was actually first owned by my grandpa, and when my grandpa passed away it was of course passed on down to the kids. They are currently trying to sell it, so if anyone is interested just let me know!
They have had several offers on the land, but all of them have fallen through…which isn’t all bad. We love going up there. Part of the weber river goes through the land they own, and you can go fishing or swimming in it. If it were up to me, I would maybe put a bed and breakfast on the land, and then people could come and fish or ride horses or do whatever. Or, what I would really like to do, is build my own home on the land and live there, but I guess it’s not up to me.:)
My boys had fun finding and catching worms. I don’t think there is anything funner than catching worms.
All the kids loved the horses. There was always at least one kid sitting on the fence watching and crying, because they wanted a turn, too!
Keaton was just happy to be there.
The more the merrier.
I don’t know who had more fun, Grandpa or the kids.
Such a cute little face!
Jump!
I took these pictures from underneath the trampoline. My kids love the trampoline, but it scares me. Sometimes I can’t stand watching them. If I do watch them, I end up driving myself and them nuts. I keep thinking they are going to fall off and get hurt really bad. But, it’s been really good for Keaton. Jumping on the trampoline has been really good physical therapy for him. It’s helped strengthen his leg and he can now jump on flat surfaces, too. So, it is a good thing, just scary for the paranoid mother.
Goal!

Playing soccer with the kids is really good exercise. They are actually pretty good—well, that’s according to me. I’ve never actually played soccer, so I don’t know too much about the sport. We all played soccer, and I had to carry Keaton and try and run and get the ball away from Jaxon and Parker. It was really tiring. Then, after that, they wanted to play tag. And tag is even more tiring than soccer. It’s hard running from Jaxon. He’s really fast. Both Jaxon and Parker would want to be “it” at the same time, so I had to try and outrun both of them. Now that was a good workout!
“Say Cheese!”

This is Berkley at 4 months old. It’s not easy balancing his very large head.
He is off the charts for the size of his head.
“Cast off!”

This is little Keaton with his velcro cast. I have tried a few times to get pictures of him with his cast on, but he is either crying or the pictures haven’t turned out very good. Keaton had a stroke before he was born and has cerebral palsy or also called left hemiplegia. This is what we go through every time I attempt to put his cast on. They have the cast for his right arm to force him to use his left arm. It works pretty good once you get it on and he settles down, and then tries to use his left arm. I have been having Scott put his cast on before he leaves for work each morning. For some reason he will let Scott put his cast on, but not me. Then, I have to bribe him with marshmallows or chocolate chips so he’ll keep it on. After he’s done eating the bribe treat, he will cry and throw a tantrum, and say, “Cast off!” But, at least he is eating the marshmallows with his left hand, it’s better than nothing.
Keaton can cry and scream extremely loud, so as you can see it’s even bugging Jaxon.
“Here Birdie, Birdie!”
Jaxon and Parker watch the birds in our backyard all the time. They decided to use this tree branch to try and catch a bird. By the time I got out there to see what was going on, Keaton had the branch and was pretending to be a tree. He said he was going to catch a bird. Unfortunately the birds never came, and the kids were a little upset.
Make a Wish
Parker loves picking the dandelions and blowing them all over. He also likes to pick flowers for me.
Him and Jaxon will find flowers (dandelions) to give me. Then, they watch me like a hawk, and make sure I don’t throw my “special flowers” away. We always have to put them in a cup full of water and put them on the table so everyone can enjoy the beautiful flowers.
